MATH: This week was all about decimal place value! We learned how to turn fractions into decimals and decimals into fractions. Students should be able to write decimal numbers in standard, expanded and word form.
SCIENCE: No Science This Week
ELA: This we began our Narrative Writing Unit. Students were responsible for brainstorming "true stories" that they could use for their writing topics.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We learned about Reconstruction after the Civil War. We learned about the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments and tons of fun facts about Abraham Lincoln.
We are having a hard time getting students to be responsible. They are not bringing in homework, binders or chromebooks to and from school and each class. Please remind them that they are responsible for ALL of their materials and bringing them to class each day. This is an expectation as we are trying to prepare students for middle school.
Parents and families,
Please sign agenda books each evening. this lets us know that you are seeing their homework each night. it also is a great way for you to write us quick notes or ask any questions. thank you!
