February 18 Weekly Pineapple

MATH: This week was all about multiplying fractions in math! We drew models and learned how to multiply fractions by whole numbers and frations by fractions.

ELA: This week in ELA, students compared themes across different texts.  Students were responsible for finding evidence in the texts to support their opinions on these themes and turned this into quick writes.  While I have your attention, I am noticing the work ethic of some of our kiddos is not up to par as it usually is, I could really use your assistance in stressing the importance of finishing strong!

SOCIAL STUDIES: No SS this week. World War Two next week!

SCIENCE: We continued learning about the different states of matter.

We need your help! We are noticing that disorganization, lack of effort and behavior are becoming a bigger problem this nine weeks. It is affecting the grades and attitudes of all students. We took today to organize all binders and bookbags. Please help us by stressing that giving your best effort and minding your own business is important. We are also working on students not responding and reacting to every comment made to them in class.
