ELA: This week in ELA, wewrapped up text structures.  They will have an assessement on test structures on Wednesday.

SOCIAL STUDIES: This week, we learned why America bought Alaska and took over Hawaii. Students created a project where they had to buy a country.

SCIENCE: No science this week

We are going to celebrate the holiday season on our half day next Friday, December 17th. Due to COVID, there are some changes in how we will be able to hand out food. Feel free to send in any item that is individually wrapped (snack cakes, chips, candy, crackers, etc.). Please do not send in any items with nuts as we have a lot of allergies. There are 18-19 students in each class. You can contact your child's homeroom teacher for an exact number. Thank you for helping us celebrate!

We will be scheduling a parent/teacher conference with every parent during the months of January and February. Be on the look out for an email from your child's teacher to sign up!

December 3 Weekly Pineapple

MATH: This week was all about long division! This has been frustrating for some students who do not know their times tables. However, almost every child knows the steps and had success! :) We will be testing this unit on Tuesday.

ELA: This week in ELA, we studied and analyzed text features.  Students worked this week to create group presentations on an assigned text feature.

SOCIAL STUDIES: No SS this week

We are working towards students being independent thinkers and learners. We are noticing that a lot of students are following others' inappropriate actions instead of being leaders. Please help up by reminding your child to focus on themself and not encourage, support or join in with any negative behaviors around them. Thank you!
