MATH: This week, we focused on introducing the place value system. Students learned how to write numbers in standard, expanded and word form.
SCIENCE: No Science this week!
ELA: This we continued to review the procedures and expectations for ELA. We also set the ground rules for Independent Reading which will be incorporated into our daily instruction in ELA and how to select the just right book.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We learned about Maps and how to use a compass. We took a Readworks on Maps this week and we also took a quiz on how to use a Compass.
CHROMEBOOKS AND BINDERS
Please remind your kiddos that binders and charged Chromebooks need to come to and from school each day. It is very important that they have them every day in class.
We will be beginning to schedule conferences soon to meet with everyone. We want to connect with you about your child' progress so far this year. Be on the lookout over the next week or two for an email.
